Manly Surf School

Manly Surf School has been operating since 1995 and describes itself as the city's longest-running surf school, teaching an estimated 25,000 new surfers a year with more than 51 qualified instructors. It is a partner of both Surfing Australia and Surfing NSW, and runs lessons at Manly Beach, Palm Beach, Long Reef Beach, and Collaroy Beach, plus land-based training at a facility called Surfers Gym. Programs include group and private lessons for kids (from age 5) and adults, school holiday and after-school programs, school group and corporate lessons, a women's program, a "Silver Surfers" program for older adults, intermediate and elite training, and surf camps, with gear included and daily classes offered.
