Merrick's Noosa Learn to Surf

Noosa Heads, Queensland

Merrick's Noosa Learn to Surf was founded in 1995 by Merrick Davis, described on the site as a former Australian and World Pro-Am Champion, and is billed as Australia's only surf school owned and run by a world surf champion. The school runs daily beginner and intermediate group lessons at 8:45am and 1:15pm (except Christmas Day and New Year's Day), plus private lessons for one to five people, kids' holiday programs, corporate and group programs, and mobile surfboard hire, for ages 7 and up. It is based at Beach Access 14, Claude Batten Drive, Noosa Heads, a north-facing location the site describes as offering gentle, waist-deep waves year-round. Named instructors include Crawford (“Crof”), CJ, Phoenix, Anthony, Yanik, Luis, Rob, and Paul, and the business states it is fully licensed and compliant with relevant permits and insurance, with a connection to the Lexis English community program. It holds a 4.8 out of 5 average customer rating.
