Style Surfing Byron Bay is a family owned and operated surf school founded in 1999, open seven days a week from 8am to 8pm and based at Clarkes Beach, Byron Bay. It is led by Gaz (Gary) Morgan, who has been surfing since the 1970s and teaching surfing since the 1980s, is a trainer with the Academy of Surfing Instructors (ASI), and co-founded Maddog Surfboards & Surf Centres. The school is ASI accredited and its members include Byron Bay Surf Life Saving and Byron Bay Boardriders. Services include group lessons (3-hour sessions) and private lessons (2-hour sessions), women-only group lessons, kids' birthday parties, corporate team-building sessions, and buck-and-hens surf groups, spanning beginner through advanced and intermediate instruction as well as novice swimming and surf safety lessons.
