Gerringong Surf School

Gerringong Surf School is led by founder and head coach Rusty Moran, a former professional big-wave surfer with more than 40 years of experience, who holds an engineering degree and is completing a PhD in surf therapy; Moran also founded the Veteran Surf Project charity. The school offers group lessons including ladies-only sessions, adult private lessons with optional video analysis, kids private lessons, kids after-school groups (including weekends), corporate and school group lessons, gift vouchers, and soft-board equipment hire. It also runs 3-day holiday camps combining surfing, skateboarding and meditation for $200 including equipment and morning tea, and offers surf therapy sessions for PTSD, depression, anxiety, physical disabilities and autism, with NDIS support available. The site states the school has received more than 350 five-star reviews and operates seven days a week from 7am to 5pm, teaching beginner, intermediate and advanced surfers.
